At a time when so much content is vying for our attention, the greatest challenge is to hold on to your audience, and I am passionate about telling stories that visually capture and connect with an audience.
My early career was spent learning the craft of storytelling as a camera assistant to the Hollywood legend Stanley Kubrick (The Shining). Progressing through the camera department on acclaimed films such as ‘Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Chariots of Fire’, I went on to support Directors such as Clint Eastwood, Bernardo Bertolucci and Steven Spielberg as a Steadicam Operator and Camerawoman.
I stepped into Directing via a short film with the Scottish actor Bill Paterson, won the attention of TV producers, and went on to direct primetime shows such as ‘Dreamteam’, ‘Hollyoaks’, ‘The Bill’ and ‘Royal Today’.
With my heart set on developing my own projects, I set up Digital Salad, an end-to-end production company producing diverse work for clients such as Accenture, RBS, Whizz Education and Hinckley Yachts. Recently, I have developed a number of interactive projects, combining engaging, succinct video with digital tools and other interactions, to enhance user experience and maintain viewers’ involvement.
